Busy, busy, busy!!!

I feel so bad that I haven't updated my blog for so long. Where do I begin? The summer has been pretty uneventful for us this year. Not many camping trips to speak of or really any activities. The kids are all doing good. No real tragedys either. I am going to post a couple pictures of the kids. Jaden is getting big and I pray that Colby stops growing here soon. We all look up to him now....he is well over 6 feet tall. Logan keeps growing and he amazes me everyday how much he knows. He is a smart little guy. He calls all animals Zsa Zsa's....Zsa Zsa is my mom's dog and it is so funny to hear him say that. He has no fear at all...climbs everything, gets into everything....boys!!! I am doing good. Work has been steady. Jon's work has been steady so we are feeling blessed.

Slacking off is my new hobby!!!

I noticed that I haven't updated my blog for over a month. I get on the computer all the time, but usually to Facebook. I am so addicted to it. I should be cleaning the house today...but I sit here slacking off again.
Things are going really well. Spring is here, the garden is planted and my husband has finished a couple of projects in the yard so far.
Logan is out of the helmet!!! YAY!! I never thought the day would come. He is such a fun baby. He loves to be outside and even climbs into his bike trailer when he is ready to go riding. I am getting to where I am not quite the wimp about long bike rides. I debated for a long time if I should renew my gym pass or just buy a bike and a trailer...well, you know the rest. I hated the thought of leaving Logan for another hour everyday just to get into shape. I feel better about him being able to enjoy the ride whil I get into shape.
I have been slacking at taking pictures too. My goal is to take some this week and post them next Friday.

Welcome to the nut house!!!!

Things have been soooo crazy I can't wait for a break. Logan is growing up to fast. Colby seems to have a magnet for disaster. Jaden is the busy body....even busier than the baby.
Logan at 1 year was 23.6 lbs and 30.5 inches tall. He is such a wonderful addition to the family. He is just starting to really cruise around. He is so cute when he walks. He reminds me of baby Frankenstein.
Colby....once again....crashed hard on his bike and is down recouperating from his injuries. This time it was his collar bone. He just needs to understand that everything is fine in moderation. Riding like a maniac gets you no where but hurt.
Jaden is earning some money to pay off his debts. He did a big ooopppssss!! He has been working in the yard with Jon. Jon is really working his butt off. It is good for him. I wonder how he still has the energy to play basketball for hours on end after spending all day in the yard doing chores.
Jon and I are still employed after the rounds of Lay-offs at both Autoliv and ATK. We feel real blessed. My dad got laid off after 32 years with ATK. I just hope that he can remain sane.

Logan's First Birthday!

His first birthday was yesterday and he had a party at the house.

I am so bad at this...

I have so much going on at any given moment the last thing on my mind...usually is getting to update my blog. Where do I start....First, Jaden is almost done with basketball season. I can hardly wait!!! I love to watch him play, but it get so hectic. It will be nice to have a Saturday morning off.

Work, for Jon and I has been so crazy. There were layoffs at his work...fortunately, he made it through with his job. I have been busier than ever. I have people calling to "book me" months in advance. I have been doing some training manual writing. They see how well it works and want me to help. 40 hours a week is more than what I want to work, but I might have to start putting in some OT to get to everything. I really hate the thought of that.

Logan, my sweet, sweet baby now has to wear a helmet every day, 23 hours a day, for 3 months. I hate it more than he does. He is so mellow most of the time. It is only a minor annoyance for him. He will be going to Primary Childrens' next week to get a Botox injection is his neck to loosen the muscle. He has torticollis which has caused him to have to wear the helmet. I hate that he has to go through all of this, but he is my little trooper.

Colby got in yet another fight at school. We have been taking him to counseling to work out his anger issues....I am not sure that it is working. It is so hard to have a blended family. His mom is awesome and does a good job, but like most teenagers he finds ways of getting into trouble. He pierced his ears (YUCK) and now wants to gauge them. I keep telling him that it won't be cool in 10 years when he can't get a job because he looks like a freak!!!

Christmas '08

Well Christmas has come and gone!!! Logan had his 1st Christmas. He was more excited to play with the paper instead of the toys, but after it was all cleaned up, he had a blast. It was so much fun to see him opening presents and having a good time. He is growing up too fast.

This is Jaden and Logan and Harley just hanging out in Mesquite. I think that Jaden is trying to keep Logan away from the tall, expensive lamp. He was so amused by the lamp. It has cut-out with catuses that light up when you turn it on. Hmmmmm.....crazy kid.

Logan's Blessing

We had Logan blessed on the 3rd. He was so good. He didn't cry or whine or anything at church. My dad blessed him and my grandpa was there to stand in. It was really nice. We had the family over after for some good eats.

UPDATE!!!

Logan weighs 16 lbs 2 oz and is 25.5 inches long!!!! What a huge difference. He was so tiny. He certainly wasted no time catching up. He is such a wonderful addition to our family.

Logan is 4 months!!!!

Well, time flies when you are having fun. Logan is 4 months old now. WOW...he goes in for his checkup and shots today.....YUCK!!! I am posting some new pictures of him.

We have been so busy with work and camping it is hard to find time to write. We went to the Uintahs over the 4th. It was awesome. The bugs were bad though. The kids caught a ton of fish and the weather was ideal. The hottest it got was 80. Can't complain about that. Sorry about the lack of pictures. It seems like we forget something every time we go. This time is was the camera.
Logan is 4 months!!! How time flies. I moved him to his room this last week, and it has been great. I do miss him not being in our room, but we all sleep better. He was getting to the point that the bassinet wasn't comfy any more and he wanted to sleep in bed with us. I knew that if I didn't do something ASAP.... we would have a 2 year old sleeping with us!!!!

Life in General!!!

I haven't written for a while, so I figured that I really needed to. I finally have a minute of peace and quiet. Jon took the boys to their last baseball games of the season tonight!!! What a relief. I am not sure how people do the supermom stuff. I have been working 50 hours a week at work and coming home and working until 9-10 at night. I am pooped and it is only Tuesday. I am posting a couple of pictures of the WWE. My sister bought tickets for my nephews and then her husband had to have shoulder surgery, then she was going to take them and ended up staying home to help out her husband, then my dad was going to take them and he ended up with a stomach bug...that is where I come in...What a time. I never thought that so many people got into that...boy was I wrong. The place was packed. We sat on the front row, and it is fake. really fake. We still had fun. I had to ask the kids who everyone was.....the only I knew was John Cena and that is because he does Subway commercials. I am posting a couple more pictures of Logan so you can see how big he is getting.

Yellowstone 08

Jon and I decided to take a quick trip to Yellowstone Friday afternoon. We stayed the night in West Yellowstone Friday night and drove the whole loop on Saturday. Colby and Jaden went with their mom this weekend, so it was just the 3 of us. Logan slept most of the time, but he did get to see Old Faithful erupt. His eyes were so big when it went off. He didn't know what to think. We drove home Saturday night. It was a lot of fun, but we were so exhausted being in the car 12 hours. We are going to take the boys up in a couple weeks. They love it up there.

I started back to work last week and it sucked!!! I hated leaving my baby with someone else. I don't know how people do it. The lady that is watching him is great, but I still hate the fact that someone else gets to spend that much time with him.

I wanted to add the pictures that I had taken of Logan. He did such a good job sitting still and not crying. I think that they turned out soooo cute. I can't wait to get them taken again. I think that we will get the whole family this time. I want to wait for Jaden to cut his hair, but I think that I might be waiting forever. Colby cut his off and it looks great!! When I get the time, I will take some new pictures of them and post them.
